CHARACTER ART CREATED BY LAUREN INDOVINA, 2010-2016
There is no place I'd rather have been than the studio Blind in the mid 2000's. It was here I honed my craft as a designer and art director for advertising and music videos. After a successful run working with the studios founder and ECD, we engaged on a project that would give me more confidence diving into the depths of character design. For one particular project, the assignment was to create characters around the theme of lost love. I found inspiration in aggressively painted characters. In this particular study, I fell in love with dripping mascara. It seemed to represent, to me at least, the combined emotion of beauty and sadness all at once. Its since become a common theme in all of my character designs.
